How Do Affiliate Programs Work?
An online affiliate program will generate a customized URL link for you that you post on your website or in your emails. When clicked on, it will bring the customer to our website, but because of hidden codes embedded in the link, we are able to track that the potential customer was referred by YOUR EFFORTS. If this potential customer makes a purchase, a commission will be automatically credited to your account. You can check your account online whenever you want.
Program Flexibility.
Commissions.
You will start out with a 20% commission for 1-4 cumulative product sales. This applies to any of our products. Starting with the 5th product sale that comes to us through your referral, your commission will permanently jump to 35% and remain at this level thereafter, even if you have a long period where no referral sales occur. (The exception to the above is for the Slide-A-Note, which is 15%.) Your affiliate commissions are paid by check on the 10th of each month. When the
total commissions due to you at the end of a monthly cycle exceed $50.00, we will send you a commission check for such amount.
About Cookies and Your Affiliate Prioirity.
When someone clicks a link with your Affiliate ID number, a cookie is implanted on their computer which brands them as yours. The cookie lasts for a period of one year and then stops. If the same user reclicks a link with your Affiliate ID number, the one year period starts over. Cookies are used constantly by various web sites in order to track a user. If you cookie someone and later they subsequently come to our site via another one of our affiliates, YOUR cookie will take precedence. Once you have cookied someone they cannot be taken away from
you by another affiliate. Obviously, the more people you can get to visit our web site - the more potential you have to generate revenue. Even if they don’t make a purchase on that visit, they may come back next month. And, because of the cookie, we will know they belong to you. It’s all tracked automatically by the Sound Feelings Publishing Affiliate Program.
